Tesla’s first production electric car from 2008, that laid the foundation for the electric car revolution and launched the only successful US car company in the last 100 years.
The final edition was called the Roadster 2.5, which was terminated in the years 2011/12 with the introduction of Tesla’s much more mainstream sedan, the Model S.
A PIECE OF AUTOMOTIVE HISTORY
The first ever car was the “Patent Motor Car” or “Vehicle Powered by a Gas Engine” by Carl Benz. The first ever production vehicle was the Benz “Velo”. These original cars are likely the most consequential artifacts of modern time (after all cars and motorized transport have shaped our cities and lives like nothing else).
